The El Dorado County Fair always puts on an exceptional Fourth of July event — and this year will be no exception! The gates open at 4 p.m. for kids’ activities such as hay mazes, inflatable bounce houses and waterslides, and lots of food and drinks available for purchase. Bring your own propane BBQs, footballs, coolers, and other picnic must-haves to enjoy the day to the fullest! Enjoy live music from 6–10 p.m. and a fireworks show once it gets dark. Admission is $3 per person (but kids under 6 are free!), and parking is $6 in the tiers. Pay just $15 per carload if you park on the grounds, which includes gate admission for up to 6 people!

Celebrate America’s birthday at Raley Field this year! It can’t get much more patriotic than Fourth of July festivities at a baseball stadium. Starting at 6 p.m., enjoy old-fashioned picnic games, food truck food, live music and fireworks. Kids can play at the Down on the Farm playground area while adults take advantage of the Western Health Advantage Legacy Club with alcoholic beverages, foosball, ping pong tables, and dart boards. Fourth on the Field general admission tickets are $10 and tickets for children under 12 are just $5. Legacy Club tickets (21+) are $15.
